    Getting Greens Elected...

All members and supporters are welcome to come along to this month's informal meet-up to share news on the latest events and updates both locally and beyond.

High on the agenda are the May elections to City Hall and for London Mayor. To that end, we have invited Zack Polanski and Pete Elliott to join us. Zack is the #3 candidate on the Green Party list for the Assembly elections and Pete is a Green Party Councillor on Lambeth Council. With their insight and experience, we have a perfect chance to discuss the real difference elected Greens make when they are 'at the table'.

Find out too what you can do to help get Zack and others elected to join Sian Berry and Caroline Russell at City Hall. And if you have ever thought about standing for election yourself what better way to get inspired and find out more? Or maybe you just want to get your head around the 'three-tier' voting papers for these elections?

So, plenty to discuss but first and foremost, a friendly get together for a chat over a drink with your fellow local Greens  Hope to see many of you then.

Social is in Peckham's Copeland Yard - we will be in the mezzanine area from 7pm. Access to Copeland Yard is from 133 Rye Lane or from Copeland Road.

  • Visit to City Hall for Mayor’s Question Time 2 rsvps

    Monday, February 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM
City Hall in London, United Kingdom

So what do the Mayor and Assembly Members actually do? Come along and see our city democracy in action.

You are invited to join Green Party members from Southwark and Lambeth at Mayor’s Question Time in the Chamber at City Hall. This is one of the ten sessions through the year when London Assembly members - including our two Green Assembly Members Caroline Russell and Sian Berry  - hold current Mayor Sadiq Khan to account on a range of issues. Observe our democracy in action.

This is a prefect prelude to our campaigning to secure even more Green Party successes in the Assembly and Mayoral elections that take place on May 7th and is sure to be a unique insight into this important part of our city’s political decision-making.

RSVP here and meet at City Hall at 9.45 a.m. to allow for time to pass through the security arrangements. Question Time starts at 10.00.
