Join us for the summer solstice walk Suffragette City around the streets of London on Saturday 11:45pm 23rd June 2018

Meet at the southside of Tower Bridge, at the junction between Tower Bridge Road and Queen Elizabeth Street SE1 outside Sainsbury’s. Look for people with torches and fluorescent wear.

Ends at the North side of Westminster Bridge.

Artist Michelle Baharier is passionate about encouraging people to enjoy London at night through walking, sightseeing and storytelling. She invites you to join her and guest speakers in the footsteps of nightwalkers such as Charles Dickens and William Blake, but with a twist. Her Suffragette City walk will engage you in the obscure stories and hidden legacies of women in London’s Southwark, Lambeth and Westminster streets.

A night of entertainment and insight. Michelle will enlighten you about the Roman Temple of Diana, witches and female gladiators, whose bones have been found, Wonder Woman’s gaze and much more, concluding outside the Houses of Parliament at Boudicca’s sculpture, revealing the women who led the first #MeToo campaign and burnt London to the ground.

The walk is open to anyone who enjoys walking, talking and especially those who would love to walk after dark, but maybe you never do so here is your opportunity. Apparently walking for 30 minutes a day keeps the heart pumping and has the same effect as taking Prozac on prescription! Come and join in the fun.
