Backstage tour of the National Theatre

The Scenic Paint Studio at the National Theatre

The National Theatre creates over 20 new productions every year. Join this backstage tour and see preparation for the shows, including set-building and prop-making in the workshops.

This tour is open to all and will take in some of the sustainability initiatives developed by the theatre. It will end with a visit to the theatre's exhibition of set models, 'Playing With Scale', led by curator Eleanor Margolies.

Meet at 10.30 in the expresso bar (entrance on the Waterloo Bridge side of the building) for a coffee or tea. The tour will leave promptly at 11am. Please let us know if you have any access needs.
