Our Monthly Meet Up is a great opportunity to meet other Green Party members and supporters in Southwark. This month we'll be discussing:
- Target ward selection
- Snap general election - selecting our candidates
- Air Pollution Campaign
Target wards: We’ve got a busy meeting this month as we turn our attention to elections. The 2018 council elections offer us the opportunity to represent the people of Southwark at a borough level and are a crucial way for the Green Party to build electoral support among voters. To be ready for the elections we need to select our target ward (the area of the borough that we’ll focus most of our energy on) and our development wards (areas where we’ll maintain a presence). At Wednesday’s meeting we’ll make these selections. Colin will guide us through the process, providing information and data to help inform our decision.
Snap general election: There is a possibility that the government could call an election in the autumn. Other parties in the borough have already selected their candidates, so we need to select ours, see below on how we will do this.
Air Pollution Campaign: Eleanor, our campaigns officer will be sharing our plans and signing people up to help
